Lanvin for H&M the mens look book!

We had a glimpse earlier last week on the collaboration Video ad on youtube and did not want to rush into posting anything until we received the look book. So now we have every excuse to inform you all about what is to be expected from Alber Elbaz Creative Director of Lanvin and menswear designer for the brand Lucas Ossendejiver and his collaboration with the amazing high street brand H&M! We have been invited to the event in November for the unveiling in London and YES we RSVPed.

Read this news on a sourced article on this partnership:

This season there is one high street brand working harder than any other to persuade you to part with your hard earned cash in exchange for their sartorial delights.

The Swedish fast fashionistas H&M, have just announced a new collaboration with the Parisian powerhouse and go to brand for sleek and chic evening wear; Lanvin. We all know what this means for girls (queues outside every branch, sharpened elbows at the ready and inflated prices on e-bay) but what does it mean for the guys?

The menswear arm of the hotly anticipated collaboration, is of course receiving it’s creative direction from Lanvin’s menswear designer Lucas Ossendrjiver. Mr O, has been working alongside the French brand’s visionary creative director, Alber Elbaz, creating seasonal delights that have helped shaped the direction of menswear over recent years. From dandy neck ties and corsages, to crumpled silk suits and the coveted Lanvin tux jacket, along with designer curve balls such as Lavin’s now cult status hi-tops, the brand’s menswear status was cemented in the noughties with a store opening on fashions most famous address, Saville Row.

What can we expect when the menswear collection drops in store on the 23rd November? Aside from a rabid pack of cloth hungry fashion fans (remember the crowds and pillaging of the stores when previous collections from designers such as Karl Largerfeld and Comme des garcon hit the shelves?), we can look forward to a relaxed yet elegant take on men’s clothing that echoes the sophistication and charm of the brands now iconic women’s wear. With Alber’s simple philosophy of wanting to ‘bring joy and beauty to men and women around the world’, the collection is sure to be an instant success. And if you can’t wait until 23/11, you can catch a glimpse of the collection and pen a mental shopping list when H&M previews the collaboration online via a specially commissioned film, going live at hm.com on the 2nd November. (REMEMBER THIS DATE)

The Lanvin film isn’t the only dot com trick H&M have up their sleeve this season. The following news is going to be very bad for the health of your bank balance and you may want to chop up your credit cards just to control yourself – the store is going live online with it’s first e-commerce site, meaning you can (as the brand puts it) ‘shop around the clock’. Launching on 16th September it’s perfect timing to start snapping up the new season collections, but a dangerous two weeks away from pay day. Try not to get carried away… OK, OK, Here’s a peak at Fashionbeans favourite A/W looks…
