BVLGARI rebirth of a timeless icon *Exclusive*

Bvlgari presents the new Serpenti watch, a contemporary reinterpretation of one of the brand's most famous icons. The new Serpenti watch is an extremely original model featuring a complex hand-crafted construction that endows it with the stature of an authentic jewellery masterpiece.

The Serpenti collection comes in steel or gem-set steel with a single-coil bracelet, as well as in gem-set rose gold on a single or double-coiled bracelet. This model in line with the historical heritage of the House may be interpreted, exclusively on demand, in a unique Haute Joaillerie version that is different every time. An authentic “secret” watch, this variation plays with colours and respectively combines, on its yellow or white gold structure, semi-precious and precious stones such as lapis lazuli, turquoise and diamonds or blue sapphires, emeralds and diamonds.

Sofia says, “Style is Success”!

During my fashion week world tour, knowing that I had to write a report to you all my dear gentlemen, I paid extra attention to the most stylish men in the industry.

Sofia during Fashion Week

If fashion was a kingdom, Karl Lagerfeld would certainly be the king on the throne. This versatile genius designs all the lines from Chanel, Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld, he takes pictures, makes short movies and designed a new SS11 capsule collection for Hogan as well as high street collaboration with H&M among other intellectual and social activities. He needs to find a new idea every 5 minutes or even seconds at the rate his going. The only time he doesn't think about clothes seems to be when he wakes up, as Karl has a fashion uniform- the man had found what suits him the best and wears it everyday with a big emphasis on his trademark accessories.

Karl Lagerfeld

If you think about it, every single influential person in the fashion industry has their trademark outfit and sticks to it. “Azzedine Alaia” must have 500 black Mao suits, “Olivier Zahm”- the new prince of hipsters- owner of “Purple Magazine” never leaves home without his aviator sunglasses, tight pants and a leather or a jeans jacket. Oh I could continue for hours with many prime examples.

Gentlemen, you need to find your trademark outfit and play around it with textures and colors. Experimenting with fashion is good but in order to play with clothes you need to find your style of success. After loosing over 90 pounds Karl traded his suits and fan for a rock-chic apparel. If you are fit do not hesitate to follow your body line with tight cuts you can find at "Dior Homme" or "Acne". If you are more of the bulky type "Gucci" and "Dolce and Gabbana" will be a better option, find your brand of reference and infuse a big dose of personal statement with the right accessories and colour palette. My personal favourites go from Italian eccentric, beautiful textiles, and a mix of prints and colour “Etro”, street chic “Adam Kimmel” to sexy business man “Tom Ford” to be completed with your recurrent accessory of choice.

On the runways, this Spring Summer collection was on the more demure side, with a lot of blacks and camels. Classic elegance is key for the next two seasons, so as I said earlier you really need to emphasize on accessories. Do not hesitate to shop at your old school Loro Piana, Ralph Lauren, Burberry or Pringle of Scotland store. One more affordable brand under my radar these past few seasons would definitely be J-Crew, Jenna Lyons the new creative director and president gave it a big boost taking it from old school to new cool.

I recently came across this brand Bamford Watch Department for customised Rolex, completed with a pair of Band of Outsiders and Moscot sunglasses would put the look together perfectly. That would be the trendiest pick for a hot fall in Dubai. Check it out, tell me what you think.

Tell is about your own style of success, what kind of acessory makes you "YOU"?
