Dior Homme SS 2011 *Exclusive*

suits with hyper-slim lapels; dropped-crotch pants. All in black and white, gray and beige. These are clothes that challenge the norm of the now, with suits deconstructed to the point of reduction.

Van Assche's translation of the silhouettes of North Africa to urban Europe produced some striking pieces. In a sea of items without sleeves, Caftan tops with a deep V neckline worked better than others that were clumsily draped or slashed wide open at the sides. And in a season of sandals, Dior Homme's walked on water.

Van Assche's signatures: monochrome palette, extreme volumes, and unstructured fluidity that we can't seem to get enough off, Absolutely Amazing.
