In1947, Christian Dior’s legendary “New Look” mixed revolutionary proportions and volumes:
A new attitude was born.
In 2008, with the launch of the Dior phone and My Dior, the house forged a new attitude for mobile communications combining Dior’s unique savoir-faire with technology.
In 2010, Dior presents four new styles of Dior phone – and its discreet accomplice My Dior – reflecting again this attitude of tradition and audacity.
My Dior – the miniature partner to Dior phone which enables immediate and essential communication – rocks the industry by generating several new patents with a daringly simple concept.
My Dior links to Dior phone by Bluetooth technology to a range of 15 meters and enables the reception and initiation of calls, display time, access to personal directories and a sly make-up check with the mirrored display screen. Lighter than a lipstick, attachable by key ring to the outside of a handbag, My Dior offers extreme discretion yet 100% availability.
Together, Dior phone and My Dior are a new gesture in seduction.
Black ceramic coupled with black PVD, available from October 2010, is the most technologically advanced material combination.
PVD is an advanced colour coating process used in the watch making industry that applies a highly resistant, rubber-like texture upon stainless steel. The inlaid 31 sleek ceramic pieces, fitted within the matte finish of PVD, form a total black look.
Midnight Blue in sapphire crystal, available from September 2010, is inspired by the limited edition Dior phone only available in Shanghai to celebrate the re-opening of the Dior store at Plaza 66.
The body of the phone as well as the inlaid marquetry within the 316L hand-brushed stainless steel grid is made of hand-chiselled pure sapphire crystal.
