Adam Brody wears it well, Javier Bardem, Kanye West all the cool dudes know how to rock a cardigan, trust me its the sort of warm comfy piece of clothing that is a perfect pick for fall-winter. Another cool pick that won't take you out of your comfort zone too much would be a worn off jean shirt or the perfect rolled up low waisted pair of pants and cool loafers. Welcome to the 60's my friends. The most stylish decade of the past century. Either you'd rather be Cary Grant or James Dean know how to pick up your key items and as usual accessorize with customized and statement pieces. Here is my cardigan selection.

Sofia says, “Style is Success”!

If fashion was a kingdom, Karl Lagerfeld would certainly be the king on the throne. This versatile genius designs all the lines from Chanel, Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld, he takes pictures, makes short movies and designed a new SS11 capsule collection for Hogan as well as high street collaboration with H&M among other intellectual and social activities. He needs to find a new idea every 5 minutes or even seconds at the rate his going. The only time he doesn't think about clothes seems to be when he wakes up, as Karl has a fashion uniform- the man had found what suits him the best and wears it everyday with a big emphasis on his trademark accessories.

Karl Lagerfeld
If you think about it, every single influential person in the fashion industry has their trademark outfit and sticks to it. “Azzedine Alaia” must have 500 black Mao suits, “Olivier Zahm”- the new prince of hipsters- owner of “Purple Magazine” never leaves home without his aviator sunglasses, tight pants and a leather or a jeans jacket. Oh I could continue for hours with many prime examples.

Tom Ford
On the runways, this Spring Summer collection was on the more demure side, with a lot of blacks and camels. Classic elegance is key for the next two seasons, so as I said earlier you really need to emphasize on accessories. Do not hesitate to shop at your old school Loro Piana, Ralph Lauren, Burberry or Pringle of Scotland store. One more affordable brand under my radar these past few seasons would definitely be J-Crew, Jenna Lyons the new creative director and president gave it a big boost taking it from old school to new cool.

I recently came across this brand Bamford Watch Department for customised Rolex, completed with a pair of Band of Outsiders and Moscot sunglasses would put the look together perfectly. That would be the trendiest pick for a hot fall in Dubai. Check it out, tell me what you think.

Tell is about your own style of success, what kind of acessory makes you "YOU"?

Sofia Says! New York New York!
Dear Gentlemen,
I am very happy and honored to be given the opportunity by Mens Memoir to be involved in this blog . As the Boys mentioned, I usually have a lot to say, and I would like to start with a little report from this Spring Summer New York fashion week. As much as I admire the works of some great designers like Tom ford, Hedi Slimane and Adam Kimmel, today I will talk about the men who made my fashion week so special: Ralph, Rad, Alexander, & Brad.
THE ONE THAT TOOK MY BREATH AWAY:
Alexander Wang: As usual, his collection was flawless with an all white, casual yet very elaborate collection with splashes of gold and discrete prints. The Alexander Wang man is very confident yet graceful, stylish and comfortable . Alexander also knows how to entertain, he hosted one of the greatest parties of the week: a fun fair installed on a parking lot complete with carousel, cotton candy and inflatable jumping castle, a dream! And judging by what i witnessed everyone was enchanted from model Agyness Deyn to M.I.A.

THE ONE THAT I LIKE TO STALK:
Brad Goreski: Don't ask me why, but I am obsessed with celebrity stylist assistant Brad Goreski that I discovered on the Rachel Zoe Project reality show. One of the many reasons why I adore him (isn't he adorable?) is for his impeccable preppy style with a twist. This man knows how to work a bow tie and a green cardigan like no one else, always adding a bit of edge to his looks with a pair of well tailored denim jeans for example.
Brad
THE ONE I AM PROUD OF:
Rad: I met Rad Hourani a few years ago at a dinner party and I knew right away this Jordanian young man would take over the industry and be the talked about talent he is today. His show was very clean, his unisex collection drew once again the coolest crowd to the NYC Milk Studio including model Birdie Bell, and an array of people wearing black and wedges (for the untrained eye, the underground arty hipster's uniform). This season he featured two new collaborations, one with Mykita for a pair of sunglasses and another one with Aldo shoes
.

THE CLASSIEST:
Ralph Lauren: Everything this man does is impeccable. From his beautiful boutiques to his all-american shirts and pants. Ralph is the essence of chic à la sauce USA. Shopping new designers is really rewarding, it helps elaborate a personal style and send a statement, which fashion is all about. But there's nothing better than collecting from established names like Ralph Lauren, you can never go wrong.
Now I am back to Paris, where I am writing you from my bed completely Jet Lag. This fashion week was exhausting yet very entertaining and I am getting to drop by Dubai and then back to Paris for more fashion week excitement! So Stay tuned!
