Y3 NYFW

The show for Yohji Yamamoto's partnership with Adidas is always long on drama and production. This year it was less Cirque de Soleil and more rock 'n' roll, as the moody female-fronted band The Duke Spirit was on a stage set within a mirrored wall high above the crowd at the Park Avenue armory. As usual, the show was packed with Yamamoto's brilliantly weird mash-ups of tailored clothing and sportswear—a khaki suit in a techy-looking fabric with a rain hood; dress shirts with the fabrics and zippers of track jackets. That said, this is Y-3, so as brain-twisting as some of the looks were, most of us were intently focused on what really matters (and what people buy in droves): this season's new sneakers.

Footballer Zinedine Zidane for Y3

Pure Genius for a brand such as Y3 By Yohji Yamamoto to use football King Zinedine Zidane for his new Campaign. The collaboration of the 2 makes fantastic sense. I think its great, and with Yohji's history in the industry on working with sports brands only add value to the finished product. Check it out and tell us what you think!
